Root Sourcing

While we hope to eventually be able to divide roots out of our own field, with our plants still maturing and our farm still growing, the roots in this sale have been sourced directly from Dutch wholesalers who supply only the highest quality peony roots.

Peony roots ship in mid-November after stock has been inspected by MDARD.

These roots are inspected before import and again here at Glass House Flower Farm before they get hand packaged for you. We guarantee you will receive quality, true to variety, viable peony roots with at least 3-5 eyes.

Roots come in all shapes and sizes, but everything included in this pre-order sale will be a quality root with a minimum of 3-5 eyes.

Bare Root Peonies

Planting bare root peonies: Full sun, well draining soil. Position roots so that eyes face upward and are only 1-2" below the surface.

Orders are subject to crop conditions: In the unlikely event our wholesalers experience major crop failure and are unable to provide the roots on order, your order may be subject to cancellation. We fill customer orders first, but in some cases, may have to issue refunds.

Glass House Flower Farm Guarantee: We guarantee you will receive viable peony roots with at least 3-5 eyes that are true to variety.
